Content: Studio Creates Modified Mustang for Kick-Ass Superhero No superhero movie would be complete without a kick-ass ride. For Kick-Ass, designers created the Mistmobile, a modified, supercharged Mustang. Here are exclusive pictures of the mod. Supercharged and Race-Ready Before Lafayette received the car, Galpin outfitted the vehicle with a Saleen series Vl.5 Supercharger TwinScrew supercharger with two-stage water-to-air intercooling system, which pumps in extra air and increases horsepower to roughly 500. "That's still a lot of horsepower for an American muscle car, and a car in general," Lafayette says. "With 500 hp, you can go out on the street and be passing Porsches." Galpin also changed the struts, anti-roll bars, control arms, springs, subframe connectors and upgraded the brakes. The result was a fully operational racecar capable of drag racing and street and canyon driving.
